Ludwigshafen's "Brunckviertel" suburb: new "one-litre houses - an innovation in the construction of new houses
In Ludwigshafen's Brunckviertel suburb, LUWOGE has built 46 new rental apartments in terraced house style. The special feature of these apartments is that, due to their having been extensively insulated with a least 30cm thick slabs of BASF Neopor, their heating requirements equal the cost of about only one litre of heating oil per square metre per year.
